What Is Content Marketing

At the time when I was writing this post, the term: #contentmarketing, has been searched for more than 6,000 times in only one week. 

So, what exactly is content marketing?

The following is the definition of 'content marketing' from the Content Marketing Institute, a online resource that is full of information on all aspects of content marketing. 

Content marketing is a strategic marketing approach focused on creating and distributing valuable, relevant, and consistent content to attract and retain a clearly-defined audience — and, ultimately, to drive profitable customer action.

Here is my summary of the video:

  1. For a brand, content is a commodity. 
  2. Content can build community along consumers' interest graph.
  3. Great content not only catches customers' attention, but also allows brands to talk about its message.
